Introduction: I have returned to Sims 3. The reason is simple – Sims 3 is more simply put together and therefore easier to play with. I have played some careers through Sims 3 over the years – but have not completed them all. Now the time has come for me to play the doctor career.
I have therefore created a female Sim, who will now play the main character in this game.
Her name is Ivy Barrel – I have deliberately chosen an English-sounding name, because this time I want to tell the story in English.
Chapter 1
Ivy has moved to Sunset Valley. She has bought a dilapidated house on a plot of land close to the town centre. Here she has had the house renovated so that it now looks brand new – the author has done that for her.
Ivy is now about to embark on her dream career – because she wants to be a doctor and would like to achieve great things in her endeavors.
She hopes to meet other Sims and make friends with them, although she knows she will have to work hard to achieve her goal.

The next morning, Ivy starts at the hospital – she is what you call an organ donor and she is looking forward to getting started.

Ivy works hard. She has decided to give it a go.
When she has the day off she feels hungry. But there is a small cafe behind the hospital, so she goes there to get some food. Afterwards she is going to swim in the lovely clear sea that surrounds Sunset Valley.

The author has built a beach bar and this is where Ivy runs up after her swim. She has a drink and a chat with the bartender. And then it’s time to go home. She wants to work a little from home before she goes to bed. Ivy is very happy with her first day at work.

The next day is Freedom Day, so Ivy has the day off. She decides to go to Central Park and meet other people.

After the water fight. Ivy needs something to eat.
And even though the author has turned off supernatural sims – a werewolf has crept in. He is now very nice despite that.

It’s 31 degrees, so Ivy goes to the beach.
Here she lets herself swelter and fry for a while – and then throws herself into the cool sea before she goes home.

Ivy is going home – tomorrow she has to go to work and she is looking forward to it.

Chapter 2
It’s weekend – so Ivy has a few days to look around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, she wakes up with a dry throat and suspects she might have the flu. She decides to relax at home and see if it goes away on its own. She works on the computer for a few hours to pass the time.

At the end of the day, Ivy felt better – so she went to a karaoke bar.
here she plays a little billiards – and then she gets a little carried away and launches into a “nice” song – which makes the other guests cover their ears. It’s definitely not a success

The next day is the last day of summer and Ivy makes a lasagna on her wood-fired oven. That way she has easy food for a few days. Because it’s workday again tomorrow.

After eating, the weather gets worse. Ivy decides to get a flu shot because she’s not feeling well yet

The next day is the first day of autumn. Ivy is at work and when she comes home she has been promoted to ambulance paramedic. She celebrates by relaxing in bed with a good book.

Chapter 3.
Ivy is working hard – she travels the country and the kingdom vaccinating a part of the population. It pays off and she has now been promoted to medical intern.
After a hectic week, it’s finally the weekend – Ivy has on-call duty at the hospital. Although she does take it to the autumn festival.

They beep Ivy from the hospital that her help is needed – so wearing “war paint” Ivy rushes off to her workplace. Luckily, she has a child to take care of – so it’s fitting that she’s wearing a funny “mask”
After work – she goes to the “sweet mouth cafe” – which has just been opened in Sunset Valley – here she gets a snack before going home.

A new week begins. Even when Ivy comes home tired – she is occasionally beeped by the hospital. It’s a bit tiring, but she needs the money and not least a promotion in sight.
The following weekend Ivy goes to the gym. Her physique will probably benefit from it.

After a quick shower and a bite to eat, we head to the new western bar that has been built – but alas – the hospital beeps again and Ivy has to leave.
This time it drags on and it’s late at night before she gets home. Here she reads up on some fabric that she will use in her further education and then quilts are to be seen.

The next day Ivy is really sore – so she gets a deep massage so she can move again.
This time she makes it to the western bar. It looks great and Ivy thinks it’s very cozy here

That rodeo bull was definitely not friendly – but Ivy swears she’ll take the bull by the horns eventually.
It’s winter – and Ivy has decorated her house for Christmas.
Tomorrow starts a new week – but luckily there are days off ahead.

Chapter 4
Ivy is in a period of sleeping, eating, working and repeat.
She is called to the hospital at all hours of the day. This means that she is tired and has to sleep as soon as she gets home. In the middle of meals she has to run away again – and that’s how winter goes. She does get past the winter festival – but only just – and then it’s off again.
Gradually she gets tired of it, because she doesn’t feel like she gets any breaks. On the other hand, she agrees that it is part of the goals she has set.

It’s Christmas Eve and after working two shifts in a row, Ivy decides to go out for a nice meal. She hopes she can sleep through the night. There are a large number of people on the grounds of the eatery – this includes some on 4 legs

When Ivy goes home, there is a person who has become ill.
Ivy offers her help and before long the person is recovering.

Fortunately, Christmas night goes without interruption and Ivy is in a great mood when she is picked up for her shift.
When she comes home after this shift, it is the last time she has been a doctor in the emergency room. Now she has been promoted to level 7 – and can now call herself a Gene Theapist. This means that she now only has to work a few hours a day and has 2 days off in addition to that, she is also free on weekends

Chapter 5
Ivy spends the weekend playing computer games, reading, going out to eat, goes to the movie – in short, she relaxes. The weather is bad – it’s the end of winter, hopefully spring will be good.
Saturday night there is a burglary in Ivy’s house. She wakes up to the alarm going off. She rushes out into the hallway – and sees the thief standing there. Luckily, the police are on the stairs. And then the author will interject that it is really nice to see the police and their cars (we don’t see any of that in Sims 4)

The weekend goes by quickly and Ivy shows up for work at 9am. She works for 5 hours and then has the day off.
The very next day she gets another promotion, and is now at level 8. She is an epidemic researcher. That gives her a nice raise.
She celebrates with a key lime pie at the sweet-toothed cafe. It’s springtime.

Chapter 6
Ivy is busy – she is starting to lose friends because she has to be ready to go out when she is needed at the hospital.
Therefore, she is very “alone” even though she has her colleagues at work. She is tired when she comes home. She is constantly on standby for the hospital.
Now there are some days off to take and Ivy has been speculating a lot about the future. “will I have a family” “will I get my friends back”
There’s that strange portal down on the library grounds – Ivy would like to take a closer look at it. So she does.

Before she can look back, she is on her way to the future.

Ivy steps out into a completely changed landscape. She looks around sheepishly – but that’s true enough. She’s in the future.
Emit tells her that she has descendants and she can visit them if she wants.
Ivy decides that she has to know who it is and before long she’s on her way to their house.

Ivy is really surprised at how well she gets along with the residents of the house. She has no doubt that they are family.
Ivy says goodbye – and goes out to get something to eat – afterwards she will look at the robots that are for sale and see if they are something she can use.

Now there are two who are going home to the present. Ivy has bought a robot – to help her around the house while she works and to keep her company when she comes home tired from work.
And how will it work? The author has had to modernize it to make it more suitable for the future. And the most important thing is a charger for the robot, which has changed its name in the meantime.
